Some Ways To Shop Smarter

It maybe good to make the store come to you. Try going online or shop from a print catalogue. Don't linger to objects that you desire when you have to head to a store; a recent study revealed that the more time a shopper spent holding a coffee mug for example, the more they were willing to pay for it later.

Shopping with a full tummy should help you say no to free goodies offered in the store. If you can't resist free samples, then stick to healthier snacks which will help you stay in the mood for self-control.

Avoid distractions by blocking out distraction-free time for shopping sprees. If you are interrupted, take a hard look at the prices when you get back to the task, says marketing professor Wendy Liu of the University of California, San Diego.
