Top Safety Tips For Buying Toys

As much as possible, when we buy toys for our kids, we have to make it sure we are picking the safest, most constructive, age-appropriate toys for them, right?
Here are some facts you have to consider according to the Toy Industry Association:

Birth - 6 months - Go for toys that make noises or have high contrast, black-and-white, or brightly colored images.

6-12 months - Babies enjoy toys that they can bang, stack, put in, take out and open or close. it's because at this age, they are mastering their motor skills. Once they start moving, find toys that move along with them.

1-2 years - Active toddlers at this age are full of curiosity and wonder, and they need toys that are ideal for physical play, like walking, climbing ad riding or pushing. Imaginative and educational toys are also beneficial.

2-3 years - They have good hand and finger coordination at this age, so toys such as puppets, blocks, and simple puzzles make great choices.

3-6 years - They like to act out grown-up roles and use costume and props to bring their imagination to life. They are the masters of make-believe. Arts and crafts are also common with this age group.

6-9 years - They need play that requires strategy and skill like board games and tabletop sports. They also like fashion dolls and action figures that allow them to explore grown-up worlds.

9-12 years - Preteens like to develop hobbies and enjoy crafts, model kits, magic sets, construction sets, science kits and jigsaw puzzles. Team sports are also popular for this age.
