How To Buy A Right Coat

A coat has to be timeless and warm enough to last a few seasons and can go virtually with everything in your closet.

The bottom line is the hem should hit either just above your knee or at midcalf. The longer the coat, the shorter and wider you look.

Aim for double-breasted coat that has 6 buttons, placed high. It draw your eye up making its silhouette more slender. Go also for high pockets which makes your legs look longer.

Keep things feminine with boots and a skirt.

A belted style coat is less bulky, since it emphasizes your waist. Use attached belt. A leather one looks chic, but it can damage the fabric.
