It's a Printed Maxi Dress!

Who wouldn't love this dress? It's a true Bohemian glamour that's a snap to pull off: The combination of floor-sweeping length and a wild pattern looks confident and really elongates your figure. It's a chiffon maupiti dress.

The price? it's a whooping $425 from Diane von Furstenberg :).

Avoiding a Fake Look From Self-Tanning

So that you won't look like burned, exfoliate to get rid of dead skin cells - that's the stuff excess color clings to. Gently scrub wet skin with a washcloth soaked in whole milk (lactic acid is a good exfoliator); do so or daily until you return to your natural color. Or use a yummy scrub (like Benefit Pineapple Facial Polish, which costs $24 at benefitcosmetics.com).

If you start self-tanning again, take it easy! Wait 4 days between applications.

A Week's Worth of Style

Are you fond of fashion styles? Here are some fashion rules you can check as guidelines:

  1. Always hold out the perfect fit, especially with your basics. nothing pulls your outfit down like trousers that don't sit right or a tee that clings too much.
  2. If you go for fun prints, stick to polished shapes: They'll temper the pattern and keep you looking office-appropriate.
  3. Play up your waistline. You can use belts or cropped jackets to emphasize your waistline, so you don't get lost in something that goes straight from your shoulders to your knees.
Putting Them Together: here are some good suggestion for good mix and match.

Brunch with friends: linen dress + silk sash+stone necklace+gladiator flats+leather hobo

Day At Your PC: plaid shirt+wide-leg jeans+strappy stilettos

Lunch Meeting in Your Office: patterned jacket+halter dress+wire ring+strappy stilettos+leather hobo

Concert In The Park: striped tank+wide-leg jeans+stone necklace+beaded bracelet+gladiator flats+crochet bag

Researching Materials for a Project: cropped trench+linen dress+knotted chain+suede heels+woven tote

Afternoon At Your fave Bookstore: plaid shirt+halter dress+stainless steel watch+wide belt+gladiator flats+silk scarf+crochet bag

Dinner At A Friend's Loft: cropped trench+striped tank+pencil skirt+wire ring+double belt+suede heels+leather hobo

There you go. You have created your mix and match for a week!

Beauty Dos

  1. Gild Your Lids. A new gold shadows give eyes a soft, sunny glow. If you're fair, go for yellow gold; if you have olive or medium skin, try bronzy gold; if you're dark, rosy gold looks best.
  2. Have a Tub Party. Try tossing a few bags of chamomile, green or mint tea (great for sweet-smelling skin) into your bath. Green tea feels smoothing when using after a day.
  3. Get Every Last Drop of Perfume. You can extend the life of your almost-finished bottle by adding a little bit of unscented baby oil. Bonus: It makes the fragrance wear longer on your skin.
See? You don't have to spend like a millionaire to get a beauty regimen that really works!

Slip-On Sneakers

Am loving this pair of Champion Chatham Mini slip-on from Keds. There are more colors, and bunch of styles which are all cute, but I love the yellow color. It's not bad for a price of $40, don't you think?

These kinds deliver the run-around town utility sneakers matched with the chic look of a cute pair of flats.

You can wear them with all your weekend basics; they also give a relaxed vibe to flirty, night-out dresses!

Self-Tanning Towelettes

Did you know that this small-but-mighty product is selling like hotcakes? Well, the price isn't bad for only a retail price of $13.99. Each post-it-size packet holds a single self-tanner-dampened tissue that you smooth over your face a few times.

The formula is nearly scentless, develops into the perfect tawny color after a couple of hours, and it's amazing...blends like magic! It never streaks!

Skin Care Facts & Fiction

  • Basic daily skin care products cannot prevent or correct serious skin care concerns.
  • The more lather a cleanser has, the more irritating it is.
  • Moisturizers only hydrate skin, but do not resolve aging concerns.
  • When my skin is extra dry, the best plan of attack is to use a richer moisturizer rather than adding another type of rpoduct.
  • My skin is oily, so I do not need to moisturize.
If you believe any of the above, it's time to brush up on your basics. The reason? The key to your softest, most radiant skin is not about intensive products for specific concerns, but a simple 3 step daily routine that imrpoves its overall health and well-being.

  1. CLEANSE - Gently removes daily impurities that can cause irritation, imperfections and premature aging. A rich creamy foam is crucial to cleansing. It provides a gentle cushion to skin while penetrating deep into pores to wash away impurities.
HINT: HAlf an inch, Half a cup! - You only need half an inch of cleansing foam plus water to create a half cup of soft lather.

2. SOFTEN - Provide instant hydration while gently exfoliating for smoothness and glowing clarity.

HINT: A cotton pad, never a tissue! - this is to maximize the effectiveness of softener. Tissue can irritate skin.

3. MOISTURIZE - perfectly balance moisture levels while protecting skin from environmental damages, which helps resist signs of premature aging. If you don't moisturize oily skin, you're actually making the problem worst. When your skin doesn't have enough moisture, it produces more oil to protect itself from dehydration.

HINT: The right amount of moisturizer! - can actually make your T-zone stay matte longer.

Time to shop for the right moisturizer, ladies! :).

Shopping For Butterfly Tops

These wispy pieces are a throwback to '30s-era femininity: With their plunging necklines and nipped-in waists, they have a soft sex appeal that's spot-on right now.

Some styles you might want to consider:

The mix of needlework detailing and lattice-like pattern feels so unique.

A toile-inspired print in black and gray is considered romantic.

Lacy and light as air: such as a great warm-evening cover up.

The exaggerated shawl collar and faded fabric add to the retro mood.

Prices can go as low as 20 bucks (forever21) but can go as high as $290 for excellent quality (ravinstyle).

Off-The-Shoulder Mini Dresses

Great for summer looks!

The gypsy style necklines leave you bare on top and the hemlines hit the mid-thigh, but because these pieces are generously cut through the body, they never feel too revealing - just nonchalantly flirty.

A good quality style can go as high as $268. Of course, you can still buy cheaper ones, but mostly it is challenging finding one that lasts longer and yet still perfectly fits you all through out!

Styling Tips and Figure Fixes on Trapeze Blouses & Wide-Leg Pants

Pairing 2 roomy pieces instantly sets a relaxed tone, and in an earthy palette and lightweight fabrics, this look is laid-back done beautifully.

Putting It Together:

  • Pick floaty tops that are slim through the shoulders, full through the body, and fall just below the hips (any longer and the outfit will come off as sloppy).
  • Flat-front trousers with a slightly '70s feel are best. Opt for ones that are fitted through the thigh to provide a flattering counterpoint to the loose top.
  • Wedge heels keep with the casual mood and make legs seem long and lean.
