Celebrating a Budget-Friendly Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is fast approaching, but it doesn't have to be celebrated with big spendings or purchases. After all, it's just about expressing your love and affection which can be done without any expensive tokens involved.
With the current economy going on recession, it's just a smart move to think of celebrating the month of love on a budget.
Here are some helpful tips:
  1. before trying to buy a gift for your loved one, think about something that touches his/her heart without having to buy a thing beyond your budget price. Perhaps, offering to host a party for him/her and his/her friends, complete with snacks infront of a big TV screen watching a key game. Or, perhaps an author pick from his/her favorite author if he/she loves to read.
  2. If she prefers jewelry, there are jewelry prices that are budget-friendly, if diamonds are too expensive! :). Maybe, choosing her birth stone and her favorite color would be a good choice.
  3. If you are planning for a dine out date, try a brunch with a lower cost. If you prefer dinner, cater the meal at home which maybe more affordable.
  4. You don't need to pay expensive flowers to give to your sweetheart. You can probably arrange with a florist for a banquet that are locally grown and in season. If not, shop around further for affordability.
  5. Giving chocolates is much easier to plan and handle as there are many affordable options around. A chocolate lover will always appreciate ones regardless of whether it's a high-price or from an ordinary candy store.
The fact is, there are many ways to celebrate your heart's day in a budget-friendly way. After all, the "spirit of love" doesn't care for the price than a money does.
